Federal investigators said Thursday that there were no distress calls made from the small plane that crashed in an East Palo Alto neighborhood, killing the three people onboard – all identified as employees of electric car maker Tesla Motors. Meanwhile, the crash was picked up by the city’s ShotSpotter system, which is used by police to track gunfire.
