Hand this car over to Jeremy Clarkson or the Stig and lets see a real review.

If you can afford the M3 you’re not worried about gas prices. Why does he keep talking about efficiency? I think it’s more about the price of the car being cheaper than an M3 and more than the 335i. It’s a tweener.

Bmw is for people in their 20′s who wear jeans and people who are older 30 + that want to feel young and sporty again. Mercedes is more professional and is for people in suites

looks like a M5 not much of the v8 m3, but nice body kit anyway

M Cars have high interest rate leases generally. Some months BMW cuts deals on M’s though or at least I hear. M version of the 1 series is coming out with 350 hp. I would stick it out for that, better handling becuase it will be an M and faster as well due to less weight and more power.

Are is models going to have special lease rates? See in the US you can lease a 335i for around $500 per month. An M3 is around 900 per month. If the 335is can be had for around 600 per month I think it would be worth it

@checkcheck662 I believe that this car is going to only be available in North America. i could be wrong, but that is wat all the reports are saying

See what I mean! Hell Its even more expensive in Hong Kong! a 2009 335i was selling for AED 235K. thats about 62K US Dollars! So this makes alot of sense. You figure it would cost (here) 65K? 70K still 18K less than the 88K M3. And truthfully, I’d prefer the turbos to the V8.

Hong Kong = 100% tax, lol
January 29th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
I live in a part of the world where a brand new M3 costs around 88K US Dollars. So this would fit nicely as a car with much of the M3 in it for ALOT less, around 20K less. You Americans forget that in some places, the prices are inflated to insane levels. That 9K difference in the US is a 20K difference here. So Im sure this car will find it’s buyers. Nice job by BMW I must say.

if you can afford a $50k car then might as well save a bit and get the M3 for $9k more. It might be alot of money for average consumer, but not for those who can afford a $50k car.
January 29th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
why only for seven seconds?
January 29th, 2010 at 9:43 pm
Still no Limited Slip Differential on this model?
January 29th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
@tofurki0789 yes, 9k more and i like them both
January 29th, 2010 at 10:14 pm
@autospies but the convertible will probably cost a few thousand more too. plus i love the coupe.
January 29th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
@tofurki0789 The Convertible 335is retains the foglamps
