What an insult to BMW to even try and compare this American heap with their beautifully engineered cars….dynamically and in the real word the BMW would totally destroy the cadillac. I lived in the states for 2 years and the cars have some pok in a straight line–thats about it…anyone who knows about cars in the states will by a well engineered European car !

yes, it true that NA is better in a race around a track, but really how many times are you going to lose on the streets before your able to make your self feel better on a track, most of the races cars like these are going to be in are roll on drags, FI territory!! and 2011 M5 is taking a page from caddilac and going with a Big FI V8.

i agree with the XLR. much nicer car than the M6. I’m going for an XLR V with the newCTS-V motor 6.2 556.
and the porshe panamera is ugly. the cts v is faster and stonger, regardless of the nouremberg -3 second difference

Where in the US do you live? It depends. In southern CA, I do see 10 year old Bimmers more often than 10 year old caddys.

Thank you for posting a comment an proving my point, which is to say; those who buy a car looking for an ego boost & an image makeover, will find the BMW M5 to be a bit like cocaine, everything’s all sugar and lollipops the first time you’re high, up in the rev range, but sadly when you come down you’re sure to find out that the loser you were before you bought the car is the same lose you’ll be at the end of the race with the Cts-v, and the worst part is now you don’t have a 100K!!

The name cadillac sound way better than a boring bmw… yep i drive lincoln too which is another lazy boy on wheels. the style of cadillac u cant deny it. i would chose an xlrv over an m6 and i would chose an escalade way over an x6 regardless if it has 555hp its uglyyyyy. and more women would hop in lac anyday before a bimmer. those get so ugly when they are old… but i do like 7series
