umm lol police copters can reach nearly 200… but even if that happened.. you would have a couple news copters around too and they cooperate with police..
Most commercial helicopters can only do about 125 mph. So if you had a big enough petrol tank and a straight enough road I bet you could get away.
Drive in one direction for about an hour and a chopper would have to refuel anyway. You could get 1 minute ahead then get out quickly and hide somewhere/swap cars etc. Hypothetically speaking of course…
Failing that you could do what they do in Terminator 2, but youd need a friendly T-800 or whatever.
@ SSGWoodruff1 Sorry to tell you but I have been a FHP for 15 years now a GSP for the past 2. Many ppl think that the cars are suped up but they are not! Not the Camaro’s and not even the early ninety’s mustangs! Besides a program chip that may add 10-20 more horses….. thats bout it buddy! Dont let anyone tell you different! I have a 2009 Charger at home and my squad car is the same! There is no difference big difference in speed!
seriously you are talking so hypothetically.. many many cars can out run an american police car.. their ratios are so low they have no acceloration but have top end of about 160-170 mph.. but seriously.. you cant out run a helicopter. It is very, very rare to get away here.
I’m talking about the new M5 and M6s they could easily outrun any American police car, easy as pie.
Even this M5 delimited would beat a cop car and more than likely still beat it even with it’s limiter seeing as US police cars are not designed to sit at 155 mph like an M5 is and take a lot longer to even get to 130 mph.
The Volvo stops at 241 km/h but an E39 M5 will hit about 270 km/h with it’s ‘limiter’ in place. Which is why they don’t catch him in the video, it’s the whole point.
If you take off the BMW limiter on an M5 or M6 it will do about 207 mph (faster than a ZR1). Even the estate (station wagon?) M5 will do 200mph. It takes only minutes to remove with a laptop.
But that’s not the point, the reason a BMW M-division car is an ideal escape car is because of it’s high speed handling characteristics. They are so stable it’s likely the police car would spin out just trying to keep up.
I think the Dutch police are saying that they hit the Volvos top speed so can’t really chase the M5 well. Then it goes across the border to Germany (I think the ‘lego bridge’) where they have no juristiction so they can’t do jack shhieeeiit. Still, probably quite fun to do for both.
well no shit.. an m6 is v10 supercar,, but you guys are getting away from my original arugement.. 241 is very easy to reach in slowest of american police cars.. its nearly impossible to get away from cops here..

Umm in kilometres yes, miles per hour no they can’t!
For example the LAPD (and many other forces) use a Bell 206 which tops out at 139 mph under ideal conditions.
Even a military Apache helicopters recommended max speed is only 180 mph.

lol thick shit, that model in the video which is a E39 M5 top speed delimited is 187, the newer model E60 M5 delimited is 204mph.
Do some research before you post.

M5′s and M6′s top speed is 204mph. The M6 proved that it can exceed 204mph to about 205mph. And that’s alot for a Sedan and a Gran Turismo.
