The pictures in this book are OK and the book is not expensive, but the choice of the models that are included can only be defined as “peculiar”. Why is the R80G/S not to be found in the book? I bought this book because of an interest in BMW motorcycles. I was primarily interested in the photos, but the narrative/commentary proved to be very helpful in understanding the development of the machines. The photos are a of a single collection of a New York state collector, and so, are not as comprehensive as something might have been if BMW itself made its collection available for photography. In any case, it’s well worth Amazon.com price for those who want to see some interesting BMW motorcycles.

The bikes are wonderful, The photos are great but the print quality is poor.
I been in the printing biz for 30 years and to see a book with so many quality issues get shipped to a customer is upsetting. I guess for the money it’s not bad but I would have paid more for better quality.
